Corumbataí, a small town in the interior of São Paulo state, stands out for its charm and tranquility, with a population of just over 4,000 inhabitants. Despite its natural beauty and welcoming atmosphere, the city has a limited offering of cultural activities, making initiatives like those of the Lumiarte Institute necessary. Since 2012, the Institute has been developing a monthly program of cultural activities in the city, ensuring that the population has continuous access to art and culture.

Initially, the Institute maintained a cultural space in the city, called Casa de Cultura Ipê Amarelo. For several years, the House was a cultural landmark in Corumbataí, promoting painting classes and other artistic activities such as workshops and lectures. However, even with the closure of the Casa de Cultura, the Lumiarte Institute continued its commitment to the city, ensuring that culture was not neglected.

Since then, an active cultural program has been maintained with monthly events that bring art and entertainment to the community. Performances in the town square, church, and schools are just some of the activities that continue to bring culture and joy to the people of Corumbataí. The program also includes events such as "Clowning in the Square" and "Art Week," not to mention workshops, lectures, and cultural interventions, which reinforce the Institute's role as a relevant cultural promoter in the region.
